Tiffany Bourque Ashley Attorney at Law
Tiffany Bourque Ashley was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Upon graduating from Barbe High School, she began her studies at McNeese State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, maintaining a 4.0 Grade Point Average. While at McNeese State University, she was a member of various Honors Fraternities, a recipient of various academic scholarships and awards and served as the President of the Pre-law and Politics Society, President of the Public Relations Student Society of America and had the honor of representing McNeese as the 2004 Homecoming Queen.
After graduating from McNeese, Mrs. Ashley attended law school at Louisiana State University where she had the honor to represent the law school as a member of the moot court team and the trial advocacy team. While a member of the trial advocacy team, Mrs. Ashley and her team placed in various national competitions and had the honor of being named State Champion of the Louisiana State Bar Association Mock Trial Competition in 2007. While in law school, Mrs. Ashley also had the privilege of serving as Vice President of the LSU Trial Advocacy Board and as an Ambassador for the law school. As a part of her studies at LSU, Mrs. Ashley was able to attend the Universite Jean Moulin in Lyon, France to study international law, where she was a recipient of the C.A.L.I. Award for achieving the highest grade in Comparative International Law.
While attending LSU Law School, Mrs. Ashley interned at Stockwell, Sievert, Vicellio, Clements and Shaddock in Lake Charles and at Middleberg, Riddle and Gianna in New Orleans. Mrs. Ashley briefly practiced family law and assisted in large personal injury suits at the law firm of Larry A. Roach, Inc. in Lake Charles, until she accepted a position as an Assistant Attorney General, working as a prosecutor in the Criminal Division. While working with the Louisiana Attorney General’s office, Mrs. Ashley served as an Adjunct Professor at Our Lady of the Lake College teaching Louisiana Law and Evidence and she served as an instructor at Baton Rouge Paralegal College teaching evidence law and business law.
In 2010, Mrs. Ashley switched gears and began a career in the title industry. Focusing first on learning to abstract, Mrs. Ashley worked in various courthouses across Louisiana and in Mississippi preparing oil and gas abstracts. Eventually, Mrs. Ashley was brought in house where she managed abstracting teams in all aspects of preparing and closing oil and gas abstracts of title. During her tenure as an abstract manager, Mrs. Ashley produced an abstracting procedural guide that was accepted and utilized by the company and is a copyrighted work.
Mrs. Ashley expanded into real estate title work and in May of 2014, she and her husband, Brandon Ashley, opened Southern Title & Escrow, L.L.C. in her hometown of Lake Charles. In addition, Mrs. Ashley is also the owner of The Ashley Law Firm, L.L.C. Tiffany and Brandon have one daughter, Elle, and they are proud to have their family owned and operated business in Tiffany’s hometown of Lake Charles.
